Cloudy day?

Ever traveled overseas, planned out this awesome day...and it's cloudy..thus ruining the spectacular photos you potentially could have had? Well never fear!

Last year I traveled to Europe with the family AND in Paris...we were hit with rain..for all four days we were there. BUT you don't travel for 24 hours to Paris...and NOT enjoy every last second...right?!

On one particular day my sister and I convinced the parents to go to "Disney Paris" instead of the Palace of Versailles...probably the best decision ever! However, on this particular day..it was cloudy with "possible" showers. So, instead of the awesome sunny day photos with all the characters..we were faced with quick darts to undercover, saving ourselves and the expensive camera from the rain. We took the classic "OMG we are in DISNEYLAND" photo as we entered...yet the clouds seemed to take away from the magical emotions we felt. So, I quickly took to photo shop and managed to rectify this horrible reality.

Yep, so obviously the photo on the right is the original...but i decided to add a little magic to it to really bring out the charismatic and enchanting atmosphere. So why ruin some perfectly good photos by not taking any...when you know you can get home and easily reflect the true emotions with photo shop?

BUT then again, rain doesn't always ruin a day when you are travelling around Europe. I mean, you haven't experienced all of a country, if you have only seen it in one season or with one weather condition...right? The key is...to look super happy despite being super cold, sharing 1 umbrella and looking like you've eaten too much French cuisine with 4 jumpers on:

In this photo above we just finished trekking all the way up the Champs De Elysee...something I probably wouldn't recommend doing in the rain. BUT it was an experience...especially trying to eat food AND walk with an umbrella dodging all those stupid people without one.

So, all in all, I would say...take every photo...even if you think that it's not worth it because of the horrid grey clouds and crappy looking hair styles thanks to the rain. Nothing cannot be fixed with photo shop. As long as you don't show anyone the "before" photos...who will EVER know that the day in Disney Paris was rainy?
